KUWAIT, Jan 25 (KUNA) --

1969 -- Bombs were detonated at the National Assembly, or parliament, residence of Minister of Interior and Minister of Defense Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and the Ministry of Interior's building.

Twenty one Kuwaiti nationals and one Palestinian were arrested for their involvement. They were member of the Gulf Liberation Front, an offshoot of the Arab Nationalist movement.

1984 -- Actor Mohammad Al-Nashmi passed away at the age of 57. The deceased was one of the pioneering members of Kuwait theater movement. He was one of the founders of the popular theater band and Kuwait theater.

1991 -- Qarouh Island became the first Kuwaiti land to be liberated from the Iraqi occupation with flag of State of Kuwait hoisted over the isle. (end) bs
