KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- 1966 -- The cabinet issued a decree on sending high school students on scholarships abroad.
1976 -- An Amiri Decree was issued to place the Central Training Department under the supervision of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
2001 -- National Assembly approved the amendment of the Ministers' Prosecution Law.
2002 -- Actor Abdulaziz Al-Namash, renowned for his theatrical and television roles impersonating women, passed away at the age of 71.
2003 -- Kuwaiti critic and theatrical writer Dr. Mohammad Al-Souri passed away. He was 61.
2011 -- Kuwait announces before the World Health Organization it was not facing any challenges in spending on the health sector, noting that the budget of the Ministry of Health in 2008-2009 achieved a surplus of 2.8%.
2011 -- The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), in cooperation with NASA, conducted an aerial survey of groundwater reservoirs in some areas of Kuwait.
2017 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed a USD one-million-loan agreement with Jordan's King Al-Hussein Cancer Center to help treat Syrian refugees suffering from the deadly illness. (end) lr
