2002 -- Actor Abdulaziz Al-Namash, renowned for his theatrical and television roles impersonating women, passed away at the age of 71.
2003 -- Kuwaiti national Zaid Al-Refaie, 36, climbed the summit of Mount Everest and raises the Kuwaiti flag, in addition to the POWs flag, at the highest point on earth.
