KUWAIT, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- 1962 -- Kuwait Society of Engineers was established with the aim of boosting industrial and urban boom in the country, streamlining the rules of practicing the engineering profession, raising its level, protecting the engineers' rights and promoting research.
1968 -- An Amiri decree approved Kuwait's membership in the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
1968 -- Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah decreed law 44/1968 on publicly breakfasting during the day of Ramadan with a penalty that did not exceed KD 100 and an imprisonment for a period that does not exceed a month or with one of these above-mentioned penalties for anyone who publicly break his fast during the day of Ramadan.
1993 -- Some 600 Iraqis cross the Kuwaiti borders and shower UNIKOM personnel and Kuwaiti patrols with stones, injuring a Kuwaiti policeman.
2008 -- Kuwaiti shooting team won the gold medal in skeet shooting within the eighth Arab championship that was held in the Qatari capital of Doha.
