KUWAIT, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- 1962 -- Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued a decree establishing Kuwait Communications Company with a capital of one million Kuwaiti dinars (kd).
1991 -- Kuwait and the US signed a 10-year defense agreement.
1994 -- Kuwait signed a nuclear security agreement that was endorsed by the IAEA in Vienna.
2000 -- Extraction of a lymphatic tumor in the small intestine by endoscope, the first operation of its kind in the Middle East.
2000 -- Kuwaiti shooter Fehaid Al-Daihani won the olympic medal, the first for Kuwait and snatched the third place in the double trap tourney in Australia.
2001 -- IAEA elected Kuwait as a member of its Board.
2002 -- Ministry fo Communications carried out the biggest international calls rate reduction in its history.
2010 -- Kuwait and Russian Federation signed a cooperation MoU in the field of nuclear energy.
2010 -- KFAED signed a loan agreement with Kenya worth kd 5.9 million (USD 17.7 million) for a transportation and traffic project.
2018 -- KFAED signed with Jordan an agreement to r4eschedule 17 loans worth USD 300.7 million.(end).
