1987 -- The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, late Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah reveals that Kuwait's renting of oil tankers from other nations, and the registration of Kuwaiti tankers under foreign nations was due to the continuing attacks on Kuwaiti vessels in the Gulf due to the Iraq-Iran war.
2013 -- Public Authority for Civil Information announced it had won two global awards for its creative Geographic Information System (GIF) by the world's largest (GIS) company (ESRI).
2017 -- Kuwait lowers number of diplomats working at the Iranian embassy, in addition to closing all affiliated offices operating in the country.
