1961 -- Kuwait is admitted into the Arab League as a member nation. Arab League took the decision in support of Kuwait's independence and its membership of the United Nations. The League also demanded that Iraq do not use force against Kuwait.
1987 -- The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the late Sheikh Saad Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah reveals that Kuwait's renting of oil tankers from other nations, and the re-registration of Kuwaiti tankers under foreign nations was due to the continuing attacks on Kuwaiti vessels in the Gulf due to the Iraq-Iran war.
2017 -- Kuwait lowers number of diplomats working at the Iranian embassy, in addition to closing all affiliated offices operating in the country, as well as suspending any activity pertaining joint committees. The decision came on the backdrop of indicting defendants accused of providing intelligence to Iran and Hezbollah, as well as housing weapons, ammunition and communication devices in the case known as "Al-Abdali cell".
