KUWAIT, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- 1955 -- Ash Sharqiya movie theater inaugurates near the Amiri Hospital. It had a capacity of 1,800 seats.
1960 -- Kuwait joins the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
1961 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah decrees law on amending some articles of the in relation to the National Flag.
1963 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah decrees law on establishing the Supreme Defense Council provided that it should be presided by the Prime Minister, be in charge of higher defense affairs, safeguarding the country's safety and supervising the armed forces.
2006 -- The 'Ar Rai' daily of Jassem Boudai hits the stands. At the same day, 'As Rai Al Aam' of Abdulaziz Al-Musaeed stopped publishing.
