1950 -- First scouting camp opens in Funaitees coastal area with the participation of several local schools.
1962 -- The constitution committee holds its first session. In its last session on October 27, 1962, the committee approved the draft constitution passed by the Constituent Assembly on November 3, 1962.
1974 -- Kuwait Agriculture Engineers' Society was established.
1994 -- Sheikh Jaber Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah passes away at the age of 67.
2002 -- At age of 66, Ibrahim Jassem Al-Bahou passes away after serving 28 years in the diplomatic corps. He was the Kuwaiti ambassador to Yemen in 1974 then to Jordan, and was posted to Iraq in 1988, where he was detained during the Iraqi invasion.
2004 -- Kuwait officially joins the Arab Bowling Union.
2004 -- Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Faisal Al-Hajji inaugurates the center for children with special needs in Surra.
2005 -- Kuwait wins the chairmanship of Arab Engineers' Union for the first time, represented by Engineer Adel Al-Kharafi.
2011 -- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) launches its Facebook and Twitter services.
