1977 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issues decree by law no. 123 establishing Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) supervised by the ministry of communications.
1990 -- Iraqi occupation fails in convincing Kuwaiti nationals to change their civil identification cards into Iraqi ones. Iraq set December first, 1990 as deadline for changing the IDs.
1993 -- The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) discovers a new oil well, south of Ummgdair.
1993 -- Nearly 350 Iraqis penetrate the Kuwaiti northern borders and attacked workers in the "security beltline." 1993 -- Kuwait and a group of International French banks signed a medium-term security facilities totaling USD 860 million to finance future needs of Kuwaiti government authorities.
1994 -- The UN Security Council welcomes Iraq's recognition of the State of Kuwait.
1998 -- Information Minister Youssef Al-Sumait inaugurates the permanent exhibition for the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait.
2017 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signs loan deal with Tunisia totaling KD 24 million, including a grant totaling KD 300,000, to build four hospitals, and a cancer center.
2015 -- Demise of former Member of Parliament (MP) and one of the founders of National Assembly council, Yosef Al-Meskhlid at the age of 92 years old.
2015 -- Demise of former Member of Parliament (MP) Nasser Abdulaziz Sarkho at the age of 68 years old. (end) gta
