1977 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issues decree by law no. 123 establishing the Public Ports Authority to be administered on commercial basis under supervision of the ministry of communications.
1990 -- Iraqi occupation authorities fail in convincing Kuwaiti nationals to change their civil identification cards into Iraqi ones. Occupation authorities therefore set December 1st, 1990 as deadline for changing the IDs.
1993 -- A new oil well, south of Ummgdair, was explored by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
1993 -- Nearly 350 Iraqis penetrate the Kuwaiti northern borders and attacked workers in the "security beltline." 1993 -- Kuwait and a group of International French banks signed a medium-term security facilities totaling USD 860 million to finance future needs of Kuwaiti government authorities.
1994 -- The UN Security Council welcomes Iraq's recognition of the State of Kuwait.
1994 -- UN Accord for Maritime Laws of 1982 took effect in Kuwait.
1998 -- Information Minister Youssef Al-Sumait inaugurates the permanent exhibition for the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait.
2017 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development sign loan deal with Tunisia totaling KD 24 million, including a grant totaling KD 300,000 to build four hospitals, and a cancer center.
2015 -- Demise of former Member of Parliament (MP) and one of the founders of national assembly council, Yosif Al-Meskhlid at the age of 92 years old.
2015 -- Demise of former Member of Parliament (MP) Nasser Abdulaziz Sarkho at the age of 68 years old. (end) mb
