1993 -- The first postal flight from Kuwait to Calcutta, India, was registered.
1973 -- The National Real Estate Company was established with a KD five million (USD 16.6 million) capital.
1974 -- Deputy Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a law, setting up the Order of Mubarak the Great, to be granted by the Head of State, and stipulating establishment of the eight-degree Kuwait Order.
1974 -- Deputy Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a law, upholding the accord for establishing the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and Kuwait's contribution to the Arab Support Fund for African States.
1982 -- Popular Kuwaiti singer Mahmoud Al-Kuwaiti passed away at 72. The deceased, whose real name was Mahmoud Abdulrazzaq Al-Naqi, sang more than 200 songs.
1984 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree, establishing Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations.
2003 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed an Amiri Order bestowing the title "His Highness" upon the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
2020 -- Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi declared end of the school year (2019-2020) that has seen repercussions of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and refers unfinished parts of the curriculum to 2020-2021 year.
2023 -- The Environment Public Authority (EPA) won the Excellence Award in Geographic Information Systems for 2023 from the US-based Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). ESRI awarded EPA for their eMISK Waste Project. (end) gta
