1980 -- Kuwait hosted and won the seventh Asian soccer tournament that concluded on September 30.
1990 -- Kuwaiti diplomatic missions worldwide began disbursing financial aid allocations for Kuwaiti families that were abroad during the flagrant Iraqi occupation of the country.
1996 -- Equate petrochemicals company signed an accord with local and external banks, worth USD 1,200 million, and a loan agreement valued at KD 45 million to build the petrochemicals complex in Al-Shuaiba.
2003 -- Kuwaiti surgeons performed the first surgery in Kuwait to remove left kidney for a Kuwaiti woman, using an endoscopy.
2004 -- OPEC ministers decided to name Kuwait's Energy Minister Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Chairman of the organization.
2005 -- Kuwaiti shooters won skeet competition in the Asian shooting tournament held in Thailand.
2009 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued a decree, establishing the Kuwaiti share-holding company, Warba Bank, with a capital of KD 100 million.
2010 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development lent Cote D'lvoire KD 3,250 as a contribution to a road project. (end) rk
