1990 -- UN Security Council approved sending foods to Kuwait and Iraq, to be distributed by the UN and the international Red Crescent Society.
1990 -- Acting Iraqi Finance Minister Mohammad Mehdi Saleh claimed that all funds and assets belonging to the Kuwaiti government, former ministers, and the ruling family deposited at Arab and foreign state banks were property of Iraq. He warned that any disposal of the said funds would make the party concerned legally responsible for violating the Iraqi regime's rights.
1997 -- Kuwaiti Karate practitioner Bader Al-Otaibi won the gold medal for 55 kilograms weight category of the world championship held in the Philippines.
2004 -- The new educational system was first applied in the 2004-2005 academic year. Over 300 elementary schools received, for the first time, fifth grade students.
2010 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) granted a KD four million loan to fund the University of Gambia.
2011 -- Kuwait loaned Mauritania KD 11 million to help fund a water network project.
2011 -- Kuwait Television and BBC Arabic signed agreement to boost cooperation between the two sides.
2014 -- Kuwaiti physician Dr. Ahmad Al-Muhawesh issued a UK clinical research on premeasures to prevent heart ailments. The research gained recognition. (end) gta
