KUWAIT, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- 1971 -- Scholar Marshad Mohammad Al-Suleiman passes away. He was owner of a private school that bore his name. He had served for 30 years at the school before closing it in 1956.
2000 -- The Arab Gulf Program for the United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND) choses Kuwait to host headquarters of the Arab Open University. The University was accredited by all Arab ministries of higher education.
2003 -- The State of Kuwait signs a UN Agreement to Fight Corruption.
2013 -- The Public Authority for Civil Information wins E government award, through smart phone application "Finder".
2014 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) innagurates the opening of an emergency center in northern Lebanon, total cost USD over 2 million and 400 thousands.
2015 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) sign loan aggrement with Rwanda totaling KD 4.5 million, to help finance a main road.
2016 -- Kuwait Airways receives at International Airport their first Boeing (type 777-300 ER) plane as part of a deal to receive 10 of the same plane throughout the year.
2017 -- Kuwait donates USD five million to UNWA.
2018 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) sign loan agreement with Malawi totaling KD five million.
2018 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) sign loan agreement with Cote d'Ivoire totaling KD 9 million.
2018 -- Kuwait national Karate team wins gold medal in Shanghai tournament in China.
2018 -- Kuwait Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural center wins International Property Award, for one of the best public architectural buildings in the Middle East, hosted in London. (end) mb
