1922 -- A border agreement called Al-Aqeer was signed during the reign of Kuwait Ruler Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sultan of Najd Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman bin Saud.
1961 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah appointed Abdulaziz Hussain an Ambassador to Egypt, and on December 20 Hussain presented his credentials to Egyptian President Jamal Abdulnasser.
1961 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah appointed Abdulrahman Al-Atiqi Ambassador to the US.
1979 -- Kuwait TV Channel Two began a four-hour daily broadcast. The new channel was telecasting English and Arabic programs, but was later restricted to English programs.
1991 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree to establish the Supreme Advisory Committee on completion of implementation of Islamic Sharia. The committee comprised nine members.
1997 -- EQUATE petrochemicals company announced exporting 12,000 metric tons of ethylene glycol to Europe.
2007 -- Asian Shooting federation endorsed Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, of Kuwait, as president for a second term.
2008 -- Chairman of Kuwait Motor Sports Club Sheikh Ahmad Dawood Al-Sabah won membership of the Executive Office of the Arab motor association.
2016 -- State of Kuwait handed over USD five million to the World Health Organization to help WHO's operations in Iraq's northern city of Mosul. (end) bs
