1917 -- Britain opened telegraph service between Basra, Iraq, to the State of Kuwait during the rule of Sheikh Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Kuwait's 9th ruler.
1964 -- State of Kuwait ratified an international treaty on society protection against crime. The Arab League approved the treaty on April 10, 1960.
1981 -- Kuwait Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah signed the bylaw of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).
1995 -- The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital opened Al-Fahad physiotherapy center for treatment of children between ages of a month to four years.
2004 -- Yusuf Abdulaziz Al-Fulaij, one of founders of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, passed away at age of 95.
2017 -- Ministry of Education opened the talents academy, designed to attract the talented from Kuwait, Gulf and Arab countries. The academy included 115 students.
2021 -- Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (NAZAHA) and Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) signed an agreement wherein the latter would carry out index and data research on Kuwait's strategy to boost transparency and combat corruption. (end) gta
