BEIRUT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation forces carried out massive airstrikes early on Monday, on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the southern governorate, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes searching for safe havens.
No official casualty figures were reported so far.
The strikes occurred following Hezbollah announcing of rocket-launching towards northern Israel.
Loud explosions were heard across the southern suburbs and several border towns, triggering a large-scale exodus of residents toward Beirut and safer areas. (end) fz.ibi
