LONDON, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman spoke on Thursday, discussing a variety of issues including bilateral relations, the situation the Gaza Strip, and the political process between the US and Iran on the latter's nuclear program.
The two leaders discussed the recent visit by the Prince of Wales to Saudi Arabia earlier this month, which underscored the depth of UK-Saudi relations, according to a 10 Downing Street statement.
Regarding the ongoing trade negotiations between the UK and the GCC, the two leaders stressed the importance of continued dialogue between the two parties to achieve mutual benefit.
The leaders also touched on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the importance of sustaining the ceasefire there to ensure long-term Middle East stability.
Turning to Iran, Prime Minister Starmer affirmed the UK's support to the political process between the US and Iran, adding that Iran must not develop nuclear weapons in the best interest of the Middle East. (end)
