MOSCOW, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced Wednesday that it foiled a planned "terrorist" attack targeting a military airbase in the Krasnodar region in southern Russia.
The FSB said specialized units identified the threat and prevented the attack on the strategic facility, adding that investigations are ongoing to uncover the plot's details, identify the perpetrators, and determine the groups behind it.
The agency stressed it continues to take precautionary measures to protect strategic sites and prevent any actions threatening Russia's security and stability, as part of ongoing counterterrorism and infrastructure protection efforts.
