KUWAIT, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem congratulated His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on the National and Liberation Day.
In a press statement, Al-Mukhaizeem said that the National Day represents an occasion to renew pride in Kuwait's history and its blessed journey, recalling the achievements accomplished throughout the country's development process and the security and stability it enjoys under its wise leadership and the dedication of its loyal citizens.
He further emphasized that on this cherished national occasion, the Ministry remembers with appreciation the heroic role played by its employees who continued to perform their national duty with sincerity and devotion during the Iraqi invasion.
Marking the anniversary, Al-Mukhaizeem renewed the pledge to continue working faithfully to serve Kuwait and its people and to advance the path of development and construction in line with the directives of the wise leadership and the aspirations of the Kuwaiti people toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
He concluded by praying to Almighty Allah to bestow upon Kuwait lasting security, stability and prosperity, and to protect its leadership and people from all harm. (end) fr.aa
