RAMALLAH, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- Extremist settlers set fire to a mosque on Monday in the village of Tell, Nablus in the West Bank, and scrawled racist slogans on its walls.
Local sources reported that the settlers set fire to the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque by pouring flammable material at the entrance and wrote racist slogans hostile to Arabs and Muslims on its walls, causing material damage.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the arson attack, stating that illegal settlers are attacking Islamic holy sites and Palestinian property on a daily basis, with a noticeable and systematic increase in the frequency and severity of these violations.
The ministry explained that the illegal settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation, attacked 45 mosques in 2025. (end)
