DOHA, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Saturday discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Abbas Araghchi efforts aimed at reducing escalation in the region.
A statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the discussions took place during a phone call received by the Prime Minister from the Iranian foreign minister, during which they reviewed de-escalation efforts and stressed the continuation of negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Sheikh Mohammad reiterated Qatar's support for all efforts aimed at easing tensions and promoting peaceful solutions that enhance regional security and stability, underscoring the importance of joint efforts to spare the region's peoples the consequences of escalation and to continue diplomatic coordination.
