NEW YORK, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait affirmed its keenness to actively participate and contribute to updating and amending the UNCITRAL Model Law in line with evolving international legal developments.
This came in a statement delivered Friday evening by member of Kuwait's delegation from the Fatwa and Legislation Department, State Attorney Abdullah Boqrais during the 83rd session of second work group on dispute settlement of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.
Boqrais said the meeting addressed legal amendments aimed at enhancing recognition and enforcement of arbitral decisions issued in electronic form, in keeping with technological progress and facilitating international trade and investment.
Kuwait's delegation included Deputy Director of the Department Counselor Tahani Al-Rashidi and State Attorney Abdullah Bougheis. (end) ast.aai
