BEIRUT, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- More than 10 people were killed and over 30 others injured in an airstrike carried out by Israel occupations forces on the Beqaa Valley region in eastern Lebanon, the Lebanese National News Agency said Friday.
The airstrike targeted a building in the city of Riyaq in Beqaa Governorate, resulting in a preliminary toll of over 10 dead and at least 30 injured. The wounded were distributed among local hospitals for necessary medical treatment, it added.
Earlier in the day, the Lebanese Ministry of Health's Emergency Operations Center reported that an airstrike on the Hittin neighborhood within the Ain Al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp killed two people and injured others, who were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Israeli forces continue daily violations of the ceasefire announced on November 27, 2024, carrying out repeated airstrikes and attacks on southern Lebanon, while maintaining occupation of several border sites within Lebanese territory, in clear and ongoing breach of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
