1931 -- Judge Abdullah Al-Dhayyan died at the age of 57. He had served as chief justice in 1930. He was also an Imam and a lecturer and recalled as an intellectual and scientific pioneer 1932 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed the municipal law in order to honor the growing population coupled with social and health needs.
1978 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree forming the 10th government. The 18-Minister line-up was chaired by Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.
1986 -- The sky dome section at Kuwait National Museum was inaugurated, displaying old space exploration devices, maps and manuscripts.
1997 -- Kuwait Investment Company set up the stock prices index at the bourse, based on the share market value. It is the sole index that encompassed all the listed companies, amounting to 60.
2002 -- Kuwait Public Transport Company inaugurated Ras Al-Ardh harbors that can accommodate more than 190 boats.
2016 -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company inaugurated the first unit of the environmental fuel at Al-Ahmadi refinery.
2020 -- Kuwait Central Blood Bank was granted accreditation by the American Association of Blood Banks, the first in the Arab world.
2020 -- Cooperative blood transfusion center in Al-Ahmadi health district opened at an area of 14,000 square meters with a cost of KD seven million.
2025 -- Adel Al-Ghareeb, Board member of Kuwait Squash Association, was elected vice-president of the Asian Squash Federation for (2025-29) tenure in elections held on sidelines of the Asian Junior Squash Championship in Hong Kong.
2025 -- Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) announced discovery of a courtyard and building west of Al-Qurainiya site on Failaka Island, dating back 2,300 years to the Hellenistic period. (end) bs
