AMMAN, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Kuwait Social Reform Society, organized a relief campaign to support Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as underprivileged Jordanian families in Jordan.
The campaign saw the participation of 22 male and female volunteers from Athar Volunteer Center and benefited approximately 700 families.
Activities included the distribution of 350 food baskets, 400 heating vouchers, and 400 bundles of firewood benefited 200 families.
Winter clothing was also provided to 200 children representing around 50 families.
Head of Development and Relief Sector at Namaa Charity Khaled Al-Shammari said in a press statement that the initiative goes beyond aid distribution, serving as an educational and field experience aimed at instilling responsibility and a sense of belonging toward humanitarian causes.
Al-Shammari stressed that the true impact is measured not only by the number of baskets or vouchers distributed, but also by the awareness instilled in youth and the hope restored to families.
He affirmed that Namaa Charity will continue implementing quality initiatives that combine urgent humanitarian relief with sustainable developmental impact.
He also commended the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Jordan for its significant support to Kuwaiti humanitarian organizations operating in the Kingdom.
For her part, Director of Athar Volunteer Center Abeer Al-Hajras said empowering youth through fieldwork is an investment in their humanity before their skills, describing the campaign as a profound experience for volunteers. (end) amn.aai
