KUWAIT, Feb 12 (KUNA) - Kuwait Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi affirmed on Thursday the ministry's keenness on developing the health system and enhancing the quality of services, building and building qualified national cadres.
His remarks came during the opening of the three-day Kuwait Conference on Dermatology, Laser and Aesthetic Medicine, held with the participation of physicians and consultants from GCC countries, Arab states, Europe, the United States, India and East Asia.
Al-Awadhi said the conference aligns with the Ministry's vision to support scientific and professional advancement, highlighting the achievements of the Kuwait Dermatologists Association, including organizing more than 30 specialized workshops and training programs in recent years, benefiting over 200 doctors.
He noted the preparation of Kuwait's first national therapeutic consensus for psoriasis in line with the latest international guidelines, serving more than 10,000 patients annually, as well as advanced educational courses.
Al-Awadhi added that dermatology departments at Ministry facilities provide services to more than 500,000 patients annually, with recent upgrades including advanced laser and phototherapy technologies, internationally approved innovative medications, infrastructure development and reduced waiting times.
For her part, Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee Dr. Abeer Al-Bathali said the event reflects the association's commitment to keeping pace with scientific advances and promoting evidence-based medical practice to enhance patient care. (end) oo.seo
