KUWAIT, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Education launched on Wednesday a project to implement artificial intelligence tools from Google for Education, in cooperation with Google and with broad participation from educational leaders and teachers.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad affirmed, in a statement issued by the ministry, that the project is a major national initiative to enable about 40,000 secondary school teachers and department heads to use artificial intelligence in education safely and ethically.
This will enhance their digital skills and improve teaching practices in line with international standards, the statement added.
Al-Hamad explained that the project began in early 2026 and will continue through the end of the year, aiming to unify digital proficiency standards, improve learning outcomes, and foster innovation in teaching methods across all educational districts.
Al-Hamad added that the project aligns with Kuwait's future vision to strengthen its leadership in digital education, highlighting the key role of educational leaders and the importance of joint efforts in building an innovative, sustainable learning environment capable of preparing globally competitive generations.
