WASHINGTON, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- A shooting spree targeting Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and a nearby residence in northern British Columbia, western Canada, left at least nine dead, local authorities reported late Tuesday.
Canadian police said they received reports of an armed individual at the school at around 1:20 p.m. local time, where officers found six people dead and dozens injured.
They later discovered the suspected gunman dead at the scene from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police added that one of the injured died while being transported to hospital, while around 25 others were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
