ALGIERS, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that his country's relations with Kuwait are distinguished, stressing deep affection and respect for Kuwait's political leadership and noting its special place across Algerian society.
He praised, during a media interview aired by Algerian state television Saturday evening, Kuwait's commitment to ensuring the success of the Arab Summit hosted by Algeria in 2022, recalling the Kuwaiti leadership's pledge to arrive first and depart last.
Tebboune said Algeria maintains strong fraternal relations with Arab states including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar, emphasizing that Algeria defends all Arab countries and causes, viewing the Arab nation as one unified body and destiny.
He added that Algeria shares a common history with many Arab countries, stressing that any matter affecting them directly concerns Algeria and reflects its principled stance toward Arab solidarity and collective responsibility and mutual support.
On economic prospects, Tebboune expressed optimism that Algeria's gross domestic product will exceed 400 billion dollars by 2027, while affirming continued national reforms and major projects to advance development and democratic governance nationwide objectives sustainably. (end) mr.ahm
