DOHA, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman on Saturday discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi ongoing efforts to reduce regional tensions.
According to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting took place in the Qatari capital, Doha.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammad reaffirmed Qatar's support for the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran in Muscat, expressing hope that they would lead to a comprehensive agreement that serves the interests of both parties and enhances security and stability in the region.
He also emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to spare the peoples of the region from the consequences of escalation and the continued collaboration with brotherly and friendly countries to resolve differences through diplomatic means. (end)
