KUWAIT, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad volleyball team on Friday defeated Kuwait's Burgan 3-0 in the third day of the 4th West Asia Volleyball Clubs Championship.
The tournament, hosted by Kuwait Club, will continue until February 14 with the participation of 11 clubs.
At the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, Al-Ittihad players delivered an outstanding performance, dominating the match with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, and 25-16.
The tournament will continue tomorrow, Saturday, with three matches, Lebanon's Shabab Al-Batroun vs. Qatar's Al-Wakrah, Bahrain's Dar Kulaib vs. Kuwait's Burgan, and Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad vs. Oman's Al-Seeb.
The participating teams were divided into three groups. Group A includes defending champions Qatar's Al-Rayyan, Oman's Majees, and Iraq's Ghaz Al-Junoob. Group B features Kuwait Club, Lebanon's Shabab Al-Batroun, Qatar's Al-Wakrah, and Bahrain's Al-Ahli. Group C includes Kuwait's Burgan, Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, Oman's Al-Seeb, and Bahrain's Dar Kulaib. (end) mym.onm
