KUWAIT, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan confirmed on Friday the strong relations between Armenia and Kuwait, praising the deep bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between their peoples.
Kuwait's Embassy in Yerevan said in a statement that this came during President Khachaturyan's reception of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Al-Oraifan at the Presidential Palace on the occasion of the 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day anniversaries.
The Armenian President emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in commercial, social, and cultural fields, affirming his country's support for joint projects that serve the community including the Kuwaiti elderly home project in Armenia, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
He conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his people, wishing continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Oraifan expressed his thanks for the warm reception, voicing Kuwait's pride in its relations with Armenia. (end) sas
