Former Minister of Information and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nahar, Sami Al-Nisf, told KUNA and Kuwait TV that the Saudi Media Forum reflects the Kingdom's significant development across various fields. He highlighted that the forum's importance stems from the major changes taking place in the Kingdom, noting that the forum's theme, "Media in a Shaping World," underlines the need for such media activities in times of transformation. He praised the organizers for their efforts to maximize the benefits of Arab and international media expertise through dialogue sessions and the exchange of perspectives in the media field.
Veteran Journalist Youssef Al-Jassim stated that the forum brings together media experts from Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and worldwide, facilitating experience sharing through discussions and panels. He described the forum as an important platform that showcases major media experiences and introduces modern technologies serving media professionals. Al-Jassim emphasized the necessity for journalists to participate in such events to develop their skills through interaction with media experiences from different cultures and backgrounds, pointing to the forum's wide international participation.
Political Analyst and Gulf Affairs Writer, Dr. Essa Al-Amiri, highlighted the forum's role in enhancing media awareness among media workers, especially young professionals at the start of their careers, by benefiting from the experience of senior participants. He added that the three-day forum features 150 significant discussion sessions aimed at developing media professionals and media outlets. Dr. Al-Amiri will participate in a panel titled "The Battle of Awareness and Challenges of Responsible Coverage," which focuses on the importance of verifying information before dissemination, as unverified or misleading information may pose risks to society. He concluded by noting that forums of this nature provide an important opportunity for journalists to develop their skills, gain experience, and reach a level of professional maturity that ensures credibility and reliability.
