RIYADH, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- The Saudi Media Forum kicked off on Monday in Riyadh, with the participation of media experts, academics, and specialists, including Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Undersecretary Dr. Nasser Muhaysen.
At the opening of the forum, Saudi Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said that the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, had contributed to enhancing the status of the Saudi Media Forum and granting it a broader dimension and a deeper vision, noting that this patronage reflects the great interest in developing the media sector and its role in keeping pace with global transformations.
Al-Dossary announced the launch of 12 qualitative initiatives, most notably the Saudi Media Innovation Camp (Saudi MIB), in addition to the (Tamkeen) and (Nomo) initiatives, aimed at supporting entrepreneurial ideas and transforming media projects into sustainable business models.
The forum, which brings together more than 300 media professionals, experts, and academics, features 150 dialogue sessions discussing challenges and opportunities in the media sector at the local, regional, and international levels, as part of the Kingdom's celebration of ten years since the launch of Vision 2030 and the development of Saudi media.
