CAIRO, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- The Gaza Strip's main Rafah border crossing with Egypt has partially reopened after a period of dormancy that lasted nearly two years, Egyptian media outlets reported on Sunday.
The crossing will be open to the transport of Palestinians to and from the Gaza Strip "round the clock," according to Egyptian state-affiliated Al Qahera News TV.
The Egyptian side of the border witnessed a "heavy presence" of ambulances ready to receive Palestinian patients for immediate medical attention, it added.
The Rafah crossing with Egypt, the main point of entry for aid directed at the Palestinians, has been largely closed since May of 2024. (end) asm.nam
