JEDDAH, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah underlined the significance of promoting joint Islamic action and coordinating efforts to address challenges the Muslim world is facing.
The Kuwaiti official made the statement while addressing a meeting of senior officials ahead of the 52nd session of the OIC's Council of Foreign minister, held in Jeddah.
Al-Jarallah added that the current stage requires concerted efforts, unity, and consensus among the OIC's member states in order to tackle the delicate and extremely serious circumstances and challenges haunting the Muslim world.
However, he emphasized that it is essential to observe the principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the OIC Charter, in a way that contributes to attaining regional and international security and peace.
The Kuwaiti official remarked that the preparatory meeting's agenda includes significant and weighty issues and matters, primarily the Palestinian cause amid the continued violations of the Palestinian people's rights. (pickup previous) fn.mt
