BEIRUT, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced on Friday that an Israeli occupation airstrike on a vehicle in the southern district of Tyre left at least one fatality.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health's Emergency Operations Center stated that the Israeli occupation airstrike hit the vehicle in the town of Siddiqin. While the identity of the victim remains unconfirmed, the casualty was reported at the scene immediately after the blast.
In a related development, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli drones were flying at low altitude over the southern suburbs of Beirut, and that another drone crashed in the town of Rabaa al-Thalathin, in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, without causing any injuries.
These actions constitute a persistent breach of the ceasefire agreement enacted on November 27, 2024. The Lebanese government continues to condemn the daily airstrikes, incursions, shellings, and the sustained occupation of several border outposts as "flagrant violations" of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
