KHARTOUM, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, implemented a comprehensive relief and development project in Hadjer Lamis, Chad, distributing 150 food baskets, 10 dairy cows, and fresh meat to vulnerable families.
Namaa's Deputy CEO Abdulaziz Al-Kandari told KUNA that the initiative responds to urgent humanitarian needs in Al-Badia village, where many families face food insecurity and limited income sources, making combined relief and sustainable development interventions essential.
He explained that the project integrates immediate relief through food baskets with livelihood support by providing dairy cows, ensuring families a sustainable income source that improves living standards.
The projects were implemented in coordination with officially approved local partners recognized by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring compliance with legal and humanitarian frameworks, accountability, and effective delivery to beneficiaries.
He added that Namaa conducts comprehensive field assessments to identify the households most in need, to maximize sustainable humanitarian impact beyond temporary aid. (end)
