TOKYO, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday that its group vehicle sales in 2025 made it the world's best-selling automaker for the sixth consecutive year.
According to Toyota, its group vehicle sales, covering Toyota Motor Corp. together with Daihatsu Motor Co. and Hino Motors Ltd., rose 4.6 percent from a year earlier to a record 11.32 million units.
The result kept Toyota ahead of Germany's Volkswagen Group, which ranked second with global vehicle sales of about 8.98 million units during the year.
Sales of Toyota Motor Corp. alone increased 3.7 percent to a record 10.54 million units, the company said.
By region, sales in North America expanded, while those in Japan also grew year on year. Toyota also said its global vehicle production increased in 2025, reflecting improved operating conditions. (end) mk.aai
