LONDON, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- The United Kingdom and Sweden underlined on Tuesday the importance of Ukraineآ’s long-term security through international support to secure a just and lasting peace in the region.
This came during a conversation between Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson, said a government statement.
Starmer commended Sweden for its "strong and consistent support for Ukraine and highlighted the need to collectively go further to support their resilience, energy security, and air defence".
The two officials also touched on British and Swedish relations particularly in defense, agreed to expand cooperation, namely in the High North and across Europe to deter threats, including from Russia. (end) gta.mt
