RAMALLAH, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs said a Palestinian youth was killed early Sunday by gunfire from Israeli occupation north of Ramallah in the West Bank.
In a press statement, the authority said it informed the Palestinian Ministry of Health of the killing of Ammar Hijazi, 34, from the city of Nablus, after he was shot by occupation forces on the main road linking the northern and central West Bank, with his body withheld.
Israeli occupation forces claimed in a statement that they spotted a vehicle traveling at high speed, opened fire at it causing a collision with a concrete barrier, then transferred Hijazi to an unknown location before notifying the Palestinian side of his death and withholding his body. (end)
