JEDDAH, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- Japan beat China 4-0 in the final of the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, retaining the title for the second consecutive time.
Yuto Ozeki scored the opener in the 12th minute, while Kosei Ogura gave his team a two-goal lead in the 20th minute. Ryunosuke Sato and Ogura scored the third and fourth goals in the 59th and 76th minutes respectively.
By this victory, Japan has thus won the title three times in the history of the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup, which kicked off on January 6. (end)
