MADRID, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Naser Muhaisen met with King of Spain Felipe VI on Saturday as part of his official visit to the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR 2026), which is a leading world exhibition.
The visit reflects Kuwait's commitment to promoting its international media and tourism presence on behalf of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Ministry of Information said in a press release.
Kuwaiti Ambassador in Spain Zyad Al-Anbaei attended the meeting, which reflected deep and firm bilateral relations and the commitment of both friendly countries' leaderships to expanding joint cooperation, mainly in media, tourism and culture, it said.
The Kuwaiti delegation made an extended tour of the exhibition involving participating pavilions in a bid to show Kuwait's interest in global trends in tourism and international cooperation opportunities, according to the release.
FITUR 2026 is the 46th International Tourism Trade Fair held from January 22-25, 2026, in Spain, serving as the world's leading, premier event for the tourism industry. It brings together over 10,000 companies from 161 countries. (end) hnd.mt
