RIYADH, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi welcomed Monday Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa's announcement of a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
In a press statement, Al-Budaiwi said that the terms of the fresh agreement are instrumental in enhancing and safeguarding Syria's security, stability, unity and territorial sovereignty.
The GCC chief reiterated the final statement adopted by the Supreme Council of the GCC during its 46th Session, which underscored the vital importance of respecting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of this Arab country, and that Syria's security and stability constitute a fundamental pillar of regional security.
