BAGHDAD, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- The 13th meeting of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi Joint Technical and Legal Committee on the Demarcation of Maritime Borders beyond Marker 162 was held in Baghdad on Monday.
The Kuwaiti side was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, while the Iraqi side was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Zyad Al-Tamimi.
During the meeting, both sides restated their commitment to continuing the committee's periodic meetings with a view to finalizing the demarcation of maritime borders between the two countries beyond Marker No. 162, based on international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
