RIYADH, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi discussed on Monday with Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for the Middle East and North Africa Maroun Kairouz ways to enhance joint cooperation.
In a statement, the GCC General Secretariat said the meeting was held on the sidelines of their participation in the 56th Annual Meeting of WEF 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.
The meeting addressed prospects for strengthening cooperation between the GCC and WEF, as well as economic and development issues of mutual interest, in addition to reviewing the latest regional and international developments and exchanging views on them.
According to the statement, Al-Budaiwi affirmed the GCC's keenness to enhance its active presence in international economic forums and contribute to shaping joint solutions to global economic challenges, praising the role played by the World Economic Forum in supporting regional and international dialogue and cooperation.
