KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's National Handball team defeated on Monday their Australian counterparts with the score of (42-24) in a Group D match of the 22nd Asian Men's Handball Championship.
The championship currently being held in Kuwait and is a qualifier for the 2027 World Men's Handball Championship in Germany and will continue until January 29.
At the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Hall, the Saudi national team continued its impressive performance, securing another victory against the Australian team in a match dominated by the Green Falcons throughout both halves.
This marked their third win in the competition, and their player, Hussein Farij, was awarded the title of best player of the match.
Later today, matches will conclude with India facing Hong Kong and Kuwait taking on the UAE in Group C, and Iran playing Japan in Group D. (end) hms.bb
