CAIRO, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul Gheit on Sunday voiced appreciation for Bosnian support for Arab issues at international fora, primarily the Palestinian cause, urging closer Arab-Bosnian cooperation.
He made the remarks while welcoming Bosnian Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic, who is in Cairo to discuss how to promote bilateral relations between his country and the Arab League, according to a league press release.
During the meeting, the Bosnian guest listed to the Cairo-based bloc's chief's vision of the latest regional developments amid mounting political and security challenges, underling that it is essential to develop cooperative ties between both Arab and Bosnian sides.
He added that he had listened to Aboul Gheit about the domestic situation in his country, its foreign policy, progress in its efforts to join the European Union (EU) and cooperation with the NATO. (end) mm.mt
